Look for a flat, light rock.  Get a grown-up to help you hold it.  Aim it at a lake or pond.  Throw it!

Will it skip?  Surprise!  A bigger rock may bounce more.

Pray: Thank God for the fun He gives us in creation. Simple joys like skipping stones are a gift from Him.

Read More: Ryan Palmer is a mathematician at the University of Bristol in England. He wanted to learn how shape and mass affect an object that hits water. Mass is how much an object reacts to speed and force. Mr. Palmer learned a slightly heavier rock makes a bigger bounce when skipped. The rock sinks down more and touches water longer. That makes more pressure on the water. The rock lifts higher when it bounces.

David wrote, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer.” (Psalm 18:2)
