Mrs. R. made a side dish.  She called it “Green Bean Bake.”  People saw how to make it on the side of mushroom soup cans.

People loved the dish!  Many make it every year.  It is a tradition.

Pray: Thank God for yummy food. Ask your parents if you can help with making tasty meals for your loved ones.

Read More: Mrs. Dorcas Reilly worked at Campbell’s test kitchen in New Jersey. Staff asked her to make a new recipe in 1955. She had to use items common in kitchens. She mixed green beans, a can of Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and crunchy fried onions. The green bean casserole was born! The Campbell’s company says 40% of all its cream of mushroom soup sold ends up in this dish. Dorcas in the Bible served others too. She didn’t make casseroles; she made clothes for the poor. Holiday traditions can include loving others with acts of service. (Acts 9:36-41)
