This baby gets ready to explore.

The Bronx Zoo has a new baby!  It is a tree kangaroo.  It is called a “joey.”

The joey peeks out of its mom’s pouch. Soon it will explore the world.  Welcome, joey!

Pray: Ask God to help you want to learn about the creatures He has made.

Read More: This is a Matschie’s tree kangaroo baby. It is native to Papua New Guinea. It is the first of its kind born at the zoo since 2008. The word “joey” means “little animal.” We do not yet know if this baby is a boy or a girl. But we do know that it will not grow much taller than the height of two 12-inch rulers. God designed it to have bark-gripping claws, strong limbs for climbing, and a long tail for balance. Those are good for living high in a tree! Psalm 145:5 says, “On your wondrous works, I will meditate.”
