Rain opened a deep pit in the ground. One car after another fell into the hole. People in the cars were hurt. Sadly, two died. Hurricanes are storms with strong winds and heavy rain. The storms happen in many places in the world. They can also be called “cyclones” or “typhoons.” Remember, though, that God’s power is greater than any storm. In 1 Kings 19:11, God tells Elijah, “Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord.
